Elephants are huge. Can you imagine giving one a hug? Sometimes there are moments in our lives where we are faced with something like an elephant, and we may not feel like even getting close to addressing it. It can be intimidating and potentially messy. It goes without saying that we live in an increasingly polarizing world. No matter where you are or where you fall on the spectrum of opinion and belief, you are affected by sensitive subjects, even if inadvertently. Today’s session is inspired by the work of Glenn E. Singleton who coined the term “courageous conversations”. Together we will explore creating authentic dialogue in our spaces around difficult and uncomfortable issues especially those we face in today's society.
